The Atchugarry Museum of Contemporary Art, in Uruguay, will host Verónica Vázquez solo exhibition “Contrucción de un lenguaje” for the entire month of July.
The exhibition, curated by Laura Bardier and especially designed for the museum’s spaces, traces all the explorations of the artist, her use of industrial and textile materials, the series that have articulated her career and her new researches. Vázquez’s recurring themes are represented, the imprint of time, the will to permanence, the relationship between matter and space.
This project is part of the broader research that the Pablo Atchugarry Foundation and, now, the MACA wish to pursue, paying particular attention to national art, both historical and contemporary. The program in which Verónica Vázquez exhibition fits has always sought an alternation between national and international artists, encouraging the approach of the entire public to the languages of plastic arts and promoting spaces for reflection and exchange on local and universal artistic practices.

Il Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Atchugarry, in Uruguay, ospiterà per tutto il mese di luglio la mostra personale di Verónica Vázquez “Contrucción de un lenguaje”.
La mostra, curata da Laura Bardier e appositamente concepita per gli spazi del museo, ripercorre tutte le esplorazioni dell’artista, il suo uso di materiali industriali e tessili, le serie che hanno articolato la sua carriera e le sue nuove ricerche. Sono rappresentati i temi ricorrenti di Vázquez, l’impronta del tempo, la volontà di permanenza, il rapporto tra materia e spazio.
Questo progetto si inserisce nella più ampia ricerca che la Fondazione Pablo Atchugarry e, ora, il MACA intendono portare avanti, prestando particolare attenzione all’arte nazionale, sia storica che contemporanea. Il programma in cui si inserisce la mostra di Verónica Vázquez ha sempre cercato un’alternanza tra artisti nazionali e internazionali, favorendo l’avvicinamento di tutto il pubblico ai linguaggi delle arti plastiche e promuovendo spazi di riflessione e scambio sulle pratiche artistiche locali e universali.
