Quayola
Arborescent
Casa Batlló, Barcellona

1.02 – 2.02.2025

Quayola will reimagine the iconic facade of Antoni Gaudí’s Casa Batlló in Barcelona with Arborescent, an immersive projection mapping inspired by natural growth systems and environmental responses. Presented as part of the 2025 edition of the Barcelona The Heritage of Tomorrow program, the work synthesizes the organic architectural inspirations of Antoni Gaudí with digital art.

Scheduled for February 1 and 2, 2025, the mapping is a digital eulogy to nature in which different species of trees will stage their growth systems and responses to the environment in a unique agricultural terrain: the façade of Casa Batlló. Quayola synthesises Gaudí’s architectural inspirations and combines minimalist, algorithm-based visualisations with a colourful, painterly aesthetic. The mapping will be accompanied by an original soundtrack composed by the artist himself, which serves as a thread to immerse us in the emergence of life in architecture.
