Silvia Infranco is one of the artists who will take part in the fifteenth edition of Meccaniche della Meraviglia, a cultural event directed by Albano Morandi, which, although it will be held in the city of Brescia for the fifth consecutive time, intends to resume its relationship with the territorial realities that baptized it and in particular with the municipalities of Lake Garda that, back in 2003, opened the way to what is now considered the most interesting project dedicated to contemporary visual arts in our province: Puegnago del Garda, San Felice del Benaco and Moniga del Garda.
The artist will participate with the exhibition SILVIA INFRANCO. In divenire, curated by Ilaria Bignotti, at the Museo di Scienze Naturali, Brescia.
Consisting of the artist’s most recognised cycles, characterised by slow and rigorous manual sampling, collection, stratification and processing of organic materials of plant and mineral origin, and completed by workshops involving the museum public, the exhibition in the Natural Science Museum, in collaboration with the gallery representing the artist, Marignana Arte, bears witness to the intensity and fertile generativity of the relationship between nature-science-art. It is an exhibition to reflect, connect and try out as yet unexplored aspects of the artist and the Museum, to approach art and nature with respect, in a close comparison with the objects on display and conserved in the museum and with the working methods that animate and lead the institution itself.

Silvia Infranco è tra gli artisti che prenderanno parte alla quindicesima edizione di Meccaniche della Meraviglia, manifestazione culturale con la regia di Albano Morandi, che pur articolandosi nella città di Brescia per la quinta volta consecutiva, intende riprendere il rapporto con le realtà territoriali che l’hanno tenuta a battesimo ed in particolar modo con i comuni gardesani che hanno, nel lontano 2003, aperto la strada a quello che è ormai considerato il più interessante progetto dedicato alle arti visive contemporanee della nostra provincia: Puegnago del Garda, San Felice del Benaco, a cui si è aggiunta Moniga del Garda.
L’artista parteciperà con la mostra SILVIA INFRANCO. In divenire, a cura di Ilaria Bignotti, presso il Museo di Scienze Naturali, Brescia.
Formata dai cicli più riconosciuti dell’artista, caratterizzati da un lento e rigoroso lavoro manuale di campionamento, raccolta, stratificazione ed elaborazione di materiali organici di origine vegetale e minerale, e completata da momenti laboratoriali che coinvolgeranno il pubblico del museo, la mostra negli spazi del Museo di Scienze Naturali, in collaborazione con la galleria che rappresenta l’artista, Marignana Arte, è testimonianza dell’intensità e della feconda generatività della relazione tra natura-scienza-arte. Una mostra per riflettere, collegare, provarsi intorno a lati ancora inesplorati dell’artista e del Museo, per accostarsi con rispetto all’arte e alla natura, in un confronto serrato con gli oggetti esposti e conservati nel museo e con le metodologie di lavoro che animano e conducono l’istituzione stessa.
