We are happy to announce that Giulio Malinverni has been selected for the 21st Cairo Prize at the Palazzo Reale in Milan.
Born in 2000 out of President Urbano Cairo’s desire to support young Italian artists and to acquaint the public with new protagonists, new trends and new languages present in contemporary art research, the Cairo Prize, now in its 21st edition, has been confirmed over time as the most authoritative and prestigious opportunity for young artists in Italy.
The 21st edition will be held at the Palazzo Reale in Milan and will mark the restart of the Italian contemporary art world. Twenty promising young artists, selected by Arte’s editorial staff, will display their works in an unmissable exhibition. The jury, composed of art critics and museum directors, will choose the winner.
The proclamation of the young artist winner of the 21st edition of the Cairo Prize will be held on October 10 during an evening event in the magnificent setting of the Palazzo Reale and which can be followed by streaming on corriere.it. The winning work will become part of the Cairo Prize Collection and the artist will be awarded a prize of 25 thousand euros.
From Oct. 11 to 16 at the Palazzo Reale, the exhibition will open free of charge to the public, who will be able to admire the 20 unpublished works in the competition and the entire Cairo Prize Collection.

Nato nel 2000 dalla volontà del presidente Urbano Cairo di sostenere i giovani artisti italiani e di far conoscere al pubblico nuovi protagonisti, nuove tendenze e nuovi linguaggi presenti nella ricerca d’arte contemporanea, il Premio Cairo, giunto alla 21a edizione, si è confermato nel tempo come la più autorevole e prestigiosa opportunità per i giovani artisti in Italia.
La 21° edizione si terrà a Palazzo Reale a Milano e segnerà la ripartenza del mondo dell’arte contemporanea italiana. Venti giovani promesse, selezionate dalla redazione di Arte, esporranno le loro opere in una mostra imperdibile. La giuria, composta da critici d’arte e direttori di museo, sceglierà il vincitore. La proclamazione del giovane artista vincitore della 21ª edizione del Premio Cairo si terrà il 10 ottobre nel corso di una serata-evento nella magnifica cornice di Palazzo Reale e che potrà essere seguita in streaming su corriere.it. L’opera vincitrice entrerà a far parte della Collezione del Premio Cairo e all’artista verrà assegnato un premio di 25mila euro.
Dall’11 al 16 ottobre a Palazzo Reale, la mostra aprirà gratuitamente al pubblico che potrà ammirare le 20 opere inedite in concorso e l’intera Collezione Premio Cairo.
