Artificial Botany by fuse* is part of the upcoming exhibition “Tell All The Truth But Tell It Slant” curated by Camilla Colombo and organized by OHME.
The exhibition explores the concept of truth and the construction of knowledge, through the relation between art, technology, science and society.
The exhibition is conceived as a series of figurative circles, each of them touching upon the truth from a different angle, with a different perspective and interpretation. The questions rising are thus varied, open and layered: from the relationship between truth and knowledge, the opposition of certainty and doubt, to the snares of lies; from the writing of history to the complexity of belief systems, passing by the role of consciousness, the mind and the body.
Next to the works of the artists, a number of scientists, philosophers, epistemologists and experts from different fields have been invited to contribute to the exhibition, offering to the public reflections, insights and considerations from the most diverse perspectives of contemporary society and trying to answer a number of questions: what is true, how is it decided, and by whom? What is the scientific method, and should it be questioned? Is science always right? And if so, what are its domains of validity?

Artificial Botany di fuse* farà parte della prossima mostra “Tell All The Truth But Tell It Slant”, curata da Camilla Colombo e organizzata da OHME.
La mostra esplora il concetto di verità e di costruzione della conoscenza, attraverso la relazione tra arte, tecnologia, scienza e società.
La mostra è concepita come una serie di cerchi figurativi, ognuno dei quali tratta di verità da una diversa angolazione, con una diversa prospettiva e interpretazione. Le domande che si pongono sono quindi varie, aperte e stratificate: dal rapporto tra verità e conoscenza, all’opposizione tra certezza e dubbio, alle insidie della menzogna; dalla scrittura della storia alla complessità dei sistemi di credenze, passando per il ruolo della coscienza, della mente e del corpo.
Sono stati invitati a contribuire alla mostra scienziati, filosofi, epistemologi ed esperti di diversi settori, che offrono al pubblico riflessioni, approfondimenti e considerazioni dalle più diverse prospettive della società contemporanea, cercando di rispondere ad alcune domande: cosa è vero, come viene deciso e da chi? Che cos’è il metodo scientifico e deve essere messo in discussione? La scienza ha sempre ragione? E se sì, quali sono i suoi ambiti di validità?
